Elbertjan
Elbert-jan Offereins
CEO

Studied Law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He started his career as broker with AON in 1986 and he fulfilled several jobs on liability and marine, latest as Manager Claims. In 1996 he joined Sampo Industrial Insurance as Manager Marine and Senior Underwriter Liability. After Sampo ended its activities in 2001 he joined Nassau Verzekeringen as Manager Liability and later on became Director of this insurance company. He left Nassau in 2011 to start a Branch office for Markel International Nederland as Managing Director. In 2016 he was appointed as CEO of Hampden Insurance Group for The Netherlands as the successor of the retiring CEO, Gerrit van Dijk. Elbert-jan is dedicated to foster the existing portfolio’s in run-off and at the same time extent the business in The Netherlands.

Jos
Jos Bogaerts
CFO/CRO

Studied Accounting in Breda. As accountant he has profound experience in the financial administration of insurance companies and the run-off business thereof, starting with Hansa Industrial Insurance N.V. in 1993, which was taken over by Sampo Industrial Insurance Group (Finland) in 1996. As from 2004 he became the Financial Manager of Sampo Industrial Insurance N.V. which ended its underwriting activities in The Netherlands in 2001 and went in run-off in 2002. In 2001 the company  was bought by the Hampden Group (London) and Jos was one of the driving forces that turned the status quo of Sampo into the new core-business activity of Hampden Netherlands: run-off. In 2008 he was appointed as the CFO and CRO of Hampden Insurance Group in The Netherlands.

Mirjam
Mirjam Bruinzeel  
Manager Legal & Compliance/Directie Secretaris

Studied Law and Business Administration at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Mirjam started her career as underwriter of Director & Officers Liability insurances for the BCA Pool in 1990. In 1996 she became Manager Financial Lines at Nassau Verzekeringen. In 2006 she founded the Legal & Compliance department at the Bloemers Nassau Group (Life and Casualty insurances). She joined HDI-Gerling after the merger with Nassau Verzekeringen in 2012 as Director Risk Management, Legal & Compliance. Since 2014 she worked for Allianz Benelux, latest as Manager of the Compliance department of the Netherlands. She has profound knowledge in her areas of focus and fosters sound and controlled business operations and a culture of integrity. She joined Hampden in 2017 as Manager Legal & Compliance and Company Secretary.

Daniel
Daniel Brouns
Controller

Joined Sampo Industrial Insurance as Finance assistant in the Accounting department in 2000 as the youngest recruit. Daniel has built up profound experience in the field of Finance of run-off business over the past years. And ambitious as he is, Daniel studied Finance Management at Open University in Rotterdam and Utrecht simultaneously with his job. After his graduation as Financial Controller he was appointed as group Controller for The Netherlands in 2017. Besides taking further steps in his next study: Business Administration he also manages the Accounting department at the moment.

Michiel
Michiel Lindic
Claims Handler

Studied Law at the University of Nijmegen. Michel is an experienced Claims handler in the field of non-life insurance. He started his career as Claims handler at Bovemij Verzekeringen where he supported clients in the field of car accident liabilities. After 1996 he worked for several insurance companies as SNS Reaal and AIG mainly in the field of corporate liability. Michel joined Hampden in 2006 as a Claims handler and is specialized in complex longtail liability claims such as bodily injury and pollution. Besides his job Michel also always has been a member of staff at several general legal advice centres in The Netherlands as a volunteer.


Marieke
Marieke van der Sluis
Schadebehandelaar & Herverzekeringsadministratie

Worked as an Insurance administrator and Claims handler for several brokers among which Aon until 1999 when Marieke joined Sampo Industrial Insurance. Since Sampo went into run-off in 2002 she took care of the claims administration. Over the years she also handled a broad range of complex administrations of reinsurance and delegated underwriting. She has thorough knowledge of resolving run-off administrations, enforcing recourse and collecting reimbursements of claim payments. Since 2017 she is also Claims handler.
